Il Castello di Bubbio

We chose Il Castello di Bubbio for our Italo-English wedding at the end of May 2025, and Alessandro helped make it the most treasured day of our lives. He’s an angel. His suggestions, hard work, and the way he set up the venue went far beyond what we could have asked for. Every employee put in so much effort, and we’re grateful to all of them. Alessandro, our main contact, stood out for his dedication to great service while staying gracious and friendly. Our guests were blown away by the location. The garden looks out over the wine-making hills around Bubbio and was in full bloom when we visited. We held the ceremony there, using a lovely rose-lined tunnel as the aisle, then had aperitivo. It was just right for our 75 guests, spacious and comfortable while still feeling intimate. There are loads of cute places for individual and group photos. The restaurant and hotel rooms are beautiful too. We had dinner in the restaurant, which looked lovely without needing extra decorations beyond table centerpieces. The meal was exquisite and clearly made with high-quality local ingredients. We had typical Piemontese food from antipasti through dolci, so there was no need to look elsewhere for a wedding cake. The wine was amazing too, as you’d expect from Il Castello. We danced there late into the night after a few tables were moved to make room for a dancefloor. One small warning, it can get very hot inside. The bedrooms were roomy, comfortable, elegantly decorated, and full of natural light. Breakfast was an abundant continental spread. Having our wedding at Il Castello was a delight. We’d choose it again and hope to return someday as regular guests.
