The countryside views are beautiful, and the place itself is peaceful. You can reach the main cities in about half an hour. The owner was really nice and helpful too. We’ll be back, Marzia. Thank you!

The highlight of our Italy trip was these three nights. We loved the rustic villa and the rolling hills covered in olive groves. Marzia was a lovely host, and her simple, authentic dishes were full of flavor. It was the best meal we had. If you’re looking to unwind and get a feel for Sicily, this agriturismo is the place.

Marzia, thank you for the kindness you showed my son. My wife, my son, and I met some lovely families while traveling around Sicily, and yours was among the kindest. Your place felt magical and peaceful, surrounded by calm nature. We can’t thank you enough.

We found the farmhouse in the olive grove a wonderfully restful place for our two-night stay. It’s remote and not especially touristy, which was a nice surprise, and we enjoyed quiet evenings without Wi-Fi before exploring during the day. One night, Claudia’s mom made us a delicious dinner, a welcome change from restaurant food. We also loved their olive oil and took some home. We hope to return! While you’re there, call ahead to arrange a guide at Museo I Luoghi Contadini Del Lavoro in Buscemi. They’re happy to find someone even outside regular hours. The pizzeria across the street is very popular with locals, so call to reserve a table.

The quiet is the first thing I remember about The Houses of Sant'Andrea – Buccheri. The farmhouse sits below the church of Sant'Andrea, which dates back to the 13th century and still feels like it watches over the place. From the moment I arrived, I felt surrounded by a silence that seemed to say everything without a sound. Nature sets the tone here, and the welcome feels just as natural. Nothing seems artificial; the place feels authentic and alive. Marzia Aureli brings a bright, generous energy that gives the valley’s slow rhythm a human voice. Casa Sant'Andrea feels carefully balanced, inside and out, between light and shadow, and between people and the earth. Its stones seem to hold stories, while the view across the valley left me with emotion instead of words. I’d call the place a gentle sage, grounded but still full of wonder. With no noise pollution, even ordinary sounds seem fresh again. The food fed more than my body. It nourished my soul (Nahi), the part of me that recognizes truth in simple things. I’m already carrying the wish to return, and I’d recommend it only to friends who can appreciate quiet and its magic. MAGIC.
