Aldo and Clara welcomed us so kindly on Thursday morning, right in the middle of vendemmia. They were busy harvesting merlot but still made time for us and let our children meet the animals. Then they showed us around among the vines to see how they work. Clara led the tasting, and the wines were outstanding, with fantastic quality and finish. I’m absolutely obsessed with the amphorae. Thanks for being so kind to us and our little ones.

We spent three nights at the Leccio villa for a family wedding, and Diletta made us feel very welcome. The home was fabulous, with a comfortable bed, a good-sized washroom and plenty of towels, plus a cozy living area and kitchen. I loved opening the windows in the morning to the Tuscan sun and birdsong. The villa had lovely wine and olive oil on offer, and we couldn’t resist 😉. Thank you so much.

The manager was exceptionally pleasant and kind, and made us feel welcome right away. Fattoria Casabianca was a peaceful, enjoyable rural escape, just right for unwinding. The villa is in the countryside, so there are beetles, mosquitoes, and stray cats. We hadn’t realized transport would be limited. The nearest train station is about a 20-minute walk, there are no taxis, and a car would be a good idea. Restaurants in the area also close around 2:30p. The owner kindly offered us a ride for $30, which we really appreciated.

They made a lovely wine tasting happen for our group of 18 on short notice. The wines were delicious, the staff knew their stuff, and the service was excellent. We enjoyed every moment.

The wine tasting was simply great. They arranged it for free even though there were only two of us staying with them. We bought a few bottles of excellent wine, around 8-15 euro each.
