La Macinaia

Never again. The host communicated terribly and the listing included a lot of misinformation, including about AC that wasn’t in the building. Afterward, the host claimed we’d broken the sunbeds, even though they were already broken when we arrived.

Peace and quiet in an amazing place. This is our third year in a row, and we’ve already booked for next year. Super recommended!

A huge outdoor area and a big pool that should be splendid in summer make this a lovely place to stay. We visited in winter, and the large living-room fireplace made everything feel warm. The farmhouse has been renovated, is surrounded by nature and feels peaceful. Our hosts were extremely kind and helpful, and had provided all the basics we needed: towels, soap, toilet paper, salt and coffee. The house was very clean, with beautiful, spacious rooms. Everything was perfect! 😍

We were given a 30% refund by the travel agent because of the documented problems. The host then claimed in retaliation that we had damaged the sun loungers, even though they were old and already damaged. She is now trying to get €300 from us, and told the agent they were less than a year old. Instagram shows them at the property since at least 2022, so that claim is demonstrably false. It seems she’s trying to get new equipment at our expense. Be extremely cautious. The house was outdated and not cleaned properly. There was no AC, although the provider advertised it, and electricity and water went out several times a day. We had to deal with those outages ourselves.
