Pedra & Cupa Camping Village

The bathrooms were impressively clean, and the garbage area was kept in surprisingly good shape. The nearby beach was clean, crowded, and great for little kids to play in the water. We weren't allowed to choose a pitch ourselves. A staff member walked around with me, and every spot I asked about was supposedly reserved. During nearly two weeks there, I never saw anyone use the shady spot I wanted. Our tent ended up in full sun almost the whole time. With two small children, we only used it for a quick breakfast and an evening shower, spending the rest of the day at the beach. I can't make sense of how so many campers and caravans were under the shady trees while tents were put in the camper area. Loud music started around 10 pm and went on until midnight. Maybe that's how people spend holiday evenings in Italy, but we don't plan to come back. The stay wasn't as pleasant as campsites we're used to.

We paid €33.50 for two people, a tent, and a car, with no electricity, and I don't think the price was worth what the campsite offers. The car cost extra, and we weren't allowed to park it by our tent even though the pitch had room for both. We were there for one night with a small tent for two. The toilets had no paper or hand soap and were only sort of clean. The showers had mold on the walls and drains that were close to blocked. There were also very few trash bins, and they were hard to find.

We had a great time here over Ferragosto. The showers had hot water, and the facilities were consistently clean. Lunch at Pedra & Cupa Restaurant was lovely, with generous portions and plenty of choice. The service was friendly. I'd definitely recommend it.

There is a nice grocery shop nearby, along with a couple of interesting restaurants and a fantastic wine bar on Budoni's main street. The beach in front of the campsite was okay, though very crowded, and much of it was taken up by an umbrella rental business whose owner was extremely rude. We spent four nights here and unfortunately didn't enjoy the stay. Our motorhome pitch was cramped and narrow, with no trees or bushes and no view, just an unattractive net overhead that was meant to provide shade. I've stayed in much better parking areas. The toilets and showers were alright, but the washing machine was dirty, didn't work properly, then broke down and kept our coins. The restaurant was an absolute disaster, with so many problems I don't know where to begin. The staff were polite and often smiled, but seemed rather indifferent when we needed help getting a taxi or sorting out an issue with the motorhome.
