B&B Hotel La Piana

A very peaceful setting with beautiful countryside views. The whole staff provided excellent service from check-in through checkout, and there was great attention to detail throughout the B&B hotel.

We loved it and really want to come back. The pool area was lovely, though we were a bit sad to have only one full day there. Luciano was a great host who clearly knows how to look after guests. The room had a stunning design, was spacious, clean, and well-kept, with a beautiful view of the nearby small city. Breakfast was the most delicious we've had on our travels around Europe. We had dinner in Montepulciano Terme, just a 10-minute drive away. Florence, Pisa, and Lucca are also close by car. This is definitely among the top three places we've stayed in Italy, and we've visited the whole country.

We ended up adding another night because we didn't want our time in this tranquil, relaxing place to end. It was a rare gem, with a lovely atmosphere, friendly people, attention to detail, and genuine care for guests. We booked La Piana months ahead for our 25th wedding anniversary, our first visit to Tuscany and Italy, and the views of the mountains and village from the garden were lovely. The welcome was warm and professional from the start. Tired from travelling and not wanting to go out for supper, we were grateful when the staff put together a nice cheese board and bottle of wine. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. Luciano was a gracious host who gave us great ideas for restaurants and activities nearby. He also replied quickly to our emails and helped us even while we were as far away as Florence. At one of the twice-weekly Tuscan Dinners, Luciano and his staff made us a spectacular vegetarian alternative. Breakfast was very good value for its quality, quantity, and presentation. We'll stay at La Piana next time we visit Tuscany.

We came away feeling refreshed after our two nights, though we wished we'd had longer. The hotel is stunning, and they kindly upgraded us to a suite with a terrace overlooking the beautiful hills. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, which was great. Thank you for your hospitality!
