The food is fantastic, and we just love staying here. The family Kollemann are so friendly and always go the extra mile. There’s plenty of parking, the rooms have lots of space, and the wifi is ok. The wellness area is great, and so is the swimming pool. This hotel is a real gem.

Based in Burgeis, it’s a great place to unwind and a good base for exploring the beautiful surrounding valley. There’s room to store your car and bike. The kitchen is excellent, and they always ask if you’d like some more.

We came for a weekend as a couple and were lucky to find snow, so we got to see the landscape covered in white. The location is excellent for exploring the valley, and nights are wonderfully quiet. Our room was very warm, and the bathroom had a spacious window. The spa was superb, with a comfortable place to relax and a large indoor pool. From the bright, spacious restaurant you can see the castle and abbey. Dinner was good, and breakfast had a nice choice of sweet and savory foods. The receptionist was very kind and even brought our suitcase up to the room when we arrived. The price felt fair for the quality of the services. The only thing I disliked was the stuffed animals on the walls, including in the restaurant. I’d remove them right away. Other than that, we’ll probably come back in summer.
