Hotel Centro Turistico Gardesano

The room was tidy, towels were clean, and the maids cleaned every day. It had a balcony, mirror, hairdryer, and safe, and I didn't see any bugs. The pool was nice, though swimming was only allowed from 10 am to 7 pm. There was plenty of food to choose from and it was tasty. I'm unsure whether the water is drinkable, but we filled bottles in the room where breakfast and dinner were served. The nearest restaurant is a 15-minute walk and the closest shop about half an hour on foot.

The bar staff were the only people who seemed to care about guests. The manager wasn't nice. When people stayed in the pool past his permitted hours, he poured dangerous chemicals into the water to scare them out instead of asking them to leave. It's crazy that the pool can't be used at night. He also walked around at night with a big, bright flashlight and shone it in people's eyes if they were out past a certain time. I was alone, relaxing on my room balcony, when he shone a light in my face and told me to go inside for the night, as if I shouldn't be on my balcony. I had some choice words for him. Our sheets were never changed; the bed was just made with the same dirty ones. We requested a king-size bed, but they pushed three small mattresses together. The rooms are overpriced for what they are, and the food choices are very limited.

I was a confused student seeing mostly bad reviews, so I wanted to share what I found. The room was somewhat clean, but the shower had mold and the bathroom needed more attention. The towels were clean, there were no bed bugs, the outlets worked, and the signal was fine. The food was actually pretty nice, though a few dishes had lip stains. The pool was too dirty for swimming, but still pleasant to sit beside. Meal-time staff were friendly. My friend did have to wait 45 minutes for a replacement room card after losing theirs. The hotel was okay, just don't expect anything fancy. Hope this helps!

The staff were very kind and friendly, and parking was no problem. The location is convenient, around 15 km from Gardaland and 17 km from Verona, with lovely nature views around. Our room was old but clean, and the basics like towels and bed linens were fresh and good quality. The pool was clean and had enough places. Breakfast was simple but decent, and the coffee was good. We barely spent any time in the room, so its broken balcony-door lock and old walls didn't spoil our stay 🙂. The price felt fair for the service. I don't understand why the review score is so low.
