The breakfast was a surprise, and not in a good way. It wasn't what we're used to, and we found it a little shocking. We would have been better off going to bakeries. The owner's attitude also changed: she was nice when we arrived, but during the stay it didn't feel sincere. We chose the place partly for its near-central location in Cabras, and because it was about an hour's drive from many good spots. It has a pleasant atmosphere and trees all around. The rooms, though, didn't live up to those positives. The refrigerator door was broken, and the beds were extremely hard. Places often choose beds that suit most guests, like hotels do, but if you're not used to these, you may wake up with back pain.

A really adorable place, full of character and with a layout you don't find just anywhere. Come with a sunny disposition and you'll get it. Real people run the place, and I’d love to come back for the experience.

We arrived at 8 PM and were welcomed warmly, then settled in quickly. The hosts made us feel at home. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable, with working AC and a well-equipped kitchen, including a large fridge and a good gas stove and oven. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade jams, freshly made cakes, small pizzas, and other tasty things. There was also excellent espresso, cappuccino, or tea. The property sits in a cared-for garden with olive trees and pines, a quiet place to enjoy in the early morning or late evening. It's quite close to the lake or river. In September, mosquitoes were plentiful around dawn and in the evening, so bring repellent or stay indoors. A few cats wander around too. We didn't mind, but some people might.

Breakfast was easily the best we had on the island, with homemade treats from the host's own kitchen. Our host was fantastic, recommended a great dinner restaurant, and surprised us with a free room upgrade. I'd absolutely recommend staying here.
