Affitta Camere Dei Mille

Our week at D Rooms, a Mille guesthouse in central Cagliari, ran from September 15th to 22nd, 2025. The room was lovely and spotless, and the staff were so kind. I think the owner, Diana, was just as lovely. There was no breakfast in the price, but they left us a little fridge, kettle, plum cake, two small jams that could go in hand luggage, some toast, and a coffee machine they kept stocked with Lavazza Blue pods. The cleaners came every day, which felt like really thoughtful service. Only downside was the old, slippery stairs up to the first floor. Still, five stars from us. We arrived at 10:00 AM, well before the 1:00 PM check-in, and the room was ready, so we could leave our bags and head out. We’re staying for a week and are glad we picked this place. Its location makes getting around easy: restaurants are right nearby, and the port, shops, station, bus stops, and historic center are all within easy reach on foot. The room was spacious and simply furnished, with a high ceiling, big mirror, wardrobe, desk, bedside tables, TV, and a handy little fridge for water and picnic food. It was very clean, good value, air conditioned, and well insulated from street noise. There was plenty of soap and shampoo, too. We were in a four-room annex, with hallway doors and a private bathroom and toilet for each room. The bathroom fan comes on with the light, which helps since the toilet and shower share the same room. Staff are based on the next street and weren’t around much, but they were helpful. Breakfast comes with the hotel, though there are cafes all around that serve it too. We’d definitely recommend it.

The rooms are roomy and clean, and the location is really convenient. Parking is the one headache, especially with the construction going on.

The prices are low, but I found mold in the shower and the bathroom ran out of water in the morning. The hotel is generally noisy, and the rooms aren't soundproof.
