We had a wonderful few nights here with friends. The place was spotless, and the customer service was excellent.

The location worked perfectly for getting around by bus and train. It’s about 200 meters from the square with the urban and intercity bus terminals and train station, close to the port, and the airport is five minutes away. Every train stops there. We stayed from August 7th to 10th, hoping to visit as many beaches as we could in four days, and the price was very reasonable. The owner was friendly and let us switch rooms when the air conditioning had a problem. Our room was fine for three nights, though one had a musty smell, the TV didn’t work, and the balcony room had air conditioning units. It’s a large apartment where separate rooms, each with a bathroom, are rented to different people, so it’s more of a guesthouse than a hotel. A few things could be improved, Edoardo: the bathrooms could use some renovation, with shelves in the shower and better placement of the fixtures and towel racks. I have very long hair, so I’d also suggest more powerful hair dryers. I use one from Maurys that costs €20. It’s on the third floor with no elevator, which could be difficult for older or disabled guests and families with strollers.

The location is convenient, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The room itself wasn’t bad, though the bathroom was very old. We only had cold water in the shower, and there was no hair dryer. The shared areas were dirty, whether from poor cleaning or other guests, I can’t say. There wasn’t even soap in the kitchen. When we called about our problem, the man answering the property’s phone, who I assume was the owner, didn’t get back to us until an hour later. He also missed the morning appointment we had arranged for the next day. There are definitely better places to stay nearby.

We booked four rooms, and I’d absolutely avoid this place. The rooms smelled very strongly, the mattresses were worn out, and there were no spare towels. We were expected to use the same towels for all four days. We got one single-ply toilet paper roll for the whole stay, and there wasn’t even a broom to sweep our room after the beach. The apartment is shared with strangers on the third floor, up very steep stairs, and the door frames were broken. Four air conditioning units on the balcony blew straight at you. When we asked if the city tax could at least be waived because we were so unhappy, we were threatened with legal action. I feel very sorry for the landlord, but for a place at this price, basic things are the least they could provide. Not recommended. One star only because I have to.
