La Villa del Mare

The rooms had plenty of space and all those little things that made our stay easier. Breakfast was lovely, and the location was great. Naomi gave us excellent tips for places to see, and the team were so helpful and nice. They always lent us chairs and sun guards for the beach. Such a lovely small hotel. I'll be back and have recommended it to family and friends!

My best friend and I stayed for four days and were really glad we picked this hotel. Our room was cute, spacious, comfortable and relaxing, and the service was friendly from start to finish. They even greeted us at the gate when we arrived! The location was superb, just across the street from Poetto beach. If we come back to Cagliari, we'd definitely stay here again. Thanks to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable. We'd totally recommend it! :)

The quiet setting suited us, though we expected more cafés, shops and restaurants along the beach after reading the reviews. We ended up driving into the city centre most evenings for more of a holiday atmosphere. For a calm stay, the location works well. Breakfast was good, but there were no vegetables. The staff made the trip, especially the kind man at reception who shared great beach and day-trip suggestions. We followed his tips each morning and every place was stunning. We didn't spend time at Poetto beach, since renting a car and exploring the island gave us a much more varied beach experience. The woman at reception also pointed us to two nearby seafood restaurants, and we enjoyed both. Ask the staff for recommendations. Our room could use some renovation, but their kindness more than made up for that, and we had a wonderful Sardinia vacation.

We’ve stayed here several times, and the rooms have generally been excellent. The setting is peaceful and safe, since the road in front is car-free except for taxis coming through for access. It’s also close to the beach and transport. The reception and breakfast staff are pleasant and helpful. On our latest visit they went out of their way to make things easier when we ran into an issue. Of the four rooms we had, the apartment was the one that didn’t quite match the others. It’s a good size and works well for a family, but the standard was a little lower, which is why I rated the rooms 4 rather than 5.
