It may be cheap, but it's a long way from everything.

The breakfast room was partly flooded and smelled musty, and the breakfast itself was poor. The products seemed like low-quality discount items: rock-hard wafers and croissants, soggy cereal, and tap water in glass bottles that didn't look properly clean. Then, ten minutes before checkout, the cleaning woman began shouting outside our door and telling us to leave. There was almost no comfort in the room. The so-called double bed was two singles at different heights that kept sliding apart. The air conditioning only started after 3 hours, so we had to pick between being freezing cold and putting up with an unbearable sewer smell. Hot water was basically a mirage, and we gave up trying to shower. The shower was moldy and cracked, the toilet seat was broken, bugs were all over the room, and the power kept cutting out. At night we had to go out and reconnect the meter. The bathroom fixtures gave off a nauseating smell when we arrived. The window was open and an exhausted air freshener had been left there, as if to cover it up. We reported it, but management acted surprised and ignored similar complaints that had appeared in reviews for years. The room was so dusty it triggered an asthma attack for me. The advertised "Garden View" was actually an open-air dump full of debris and garbage, and seemed to be the main source of dust coming into the room. I strongly advise anyone who cares about their health and relaxation to avoid this property. It felt like the place was managed with complete disregard for guests and basic hygiene. Please don't make the same mistake we did by underestimating the warning signs. Stay away.

The parking situation was a real hassle. It was hard to find a space nearby, and we often had to leave the car some distance away, which was awkward with luggage or in the evening. Other reviews also mention parking as "nonexistent" or difficult, so this doesn't seem like an isolated issue. The management was the most frustrating part. We reported the problems promptly to the owner but got no reply and no offer to fix them. Only after we were worn down by the discomfort did we manage to get another room. Unfortunately, it had the same poor maintenance and there was no real improvement. I also noticed, or saw mentioned in other reviews, careless arrival arrangements and bathroom fittings that didn't work properly, such as a leaking hand shower or faulty drain. The problems seem to recur from one guest to the next without lasting repairs. In my room, a strong sewer smell from the bathroom fixtures lingered even after airing out the room, making the bathroom and hallway unpleasant. Dust was plainly visible on the furniture and surfaces, and the air conditioner didn't work. The outside window frames were worn and had missing parts, so daylight came in at dawn and made it almost impossible to rest. Other guests have also reported broken or ineffective shutters and windows, drain or reflux odors around the shower and toilet, and poor sound insulation. These reports point to recurring maintenance issues. I wouldn't recommend B&B Le Api (Cagliari) for the price and discomfort we experienced. There was a sewer odor, poor upkeep, windows that let in light and noise, difficult parking, and management that was hard to reach. The hygiene, functional problems, and guest service need serious, lasting repairs before this is a reasonable choice.

Maria, the housekeeper, was delightful. Since I was on my scooter and had time to wait before boarding the ship late in the afternoon, she let me leave my carry-on bag so I could ride around all morning and afternoon. I slept wonderfully and would personally return. I stayed one night in early October, and for the price it was more than satisfactory. I had room number 5 on the first floor, a large, spacious room with a nice bathroom and new, high-quality sheets and towels. Breakfast was simple but available, with fresh water in the fridge and a coffee machine. The only possible drawback was checkout at 10:00 AM, which felt too early.
