I’ve stayed here twice recently. It has everything you need if you travel often, and the elevator across the street takes you down closer to the central area. They were quick to respond whenever I had a question. Thanks!

The place is tastefully furnished and has everything you might need. It’s right in the city center, with the main sights, restaurants, and bars all within walking distance. I’d recommend it for discovering Cagliari, or coming back to enjoy it again.

The room, the owner, and the whole place were great, just as people say here. Getting around takes a little figuring out. Castello sits on a huge rock with steep cliffs, and there are three elevators to reach it. It took us two days to work out how to get to the top. At night, a taxi costs at least 3 Euros extra, around 10 Euros from the center. Walking means steep streets and stairs. The longest elevator brings you right in front of the hotel. The second elevator, which would take you to a street you can walk along, doesn’t work, but there are stairs. The third one is by the Bastion, reached by walking along the little street right next to the cathedral. Google Maps works well for buses. Number 7 from piazza yenne goes right to the door, but only until 9pm. After that, take number 8 to get close to the hotel, or number 6 to reach the elevators. A one-week bus ticket costs 12 Euro. The rooms are unusually spacious for medieval Sardinia, and having individual bathrooms with showers was a big plus. We rented the whole property for three people and it worked perfectly, though it would be great for couples too. It’s modern, very cool, and thoughtfully set up with current amenities, including a wireless Bose sound system in each room. You’re right inside the medieval castle walls, practically stepping out into a beautiful cathedral plaza, with the city easy to explore on foot. The location is ideal, especially for a first visit to Cagliari. Luca, the owner, was friendly, attentive, and available on Whatsapp despite living across town. He came by to make sure everything was in order when we needed him. I’d stay again. It made our time in Cagliari much better.
