I gave the accommodation 6 out of 10 on Booking.com, saying the mattress needed replacing while otherwise describing the stay as satisfactory. The reply I received was: Good evening Wouter, The property and I are very disappointed by your review. We work hard to make the house welcoming and help guests enjoy their stay. On Sunday morning, we promptly responded to a report of a possible problem, and would have done the same for any other complaint. However, no other issue was ever brought to our attention, yet your review significantly discredits the property. Feedback is valuable and helps us improve, but only when it is objective and not given with an unclear intent. Thank you The Sunday problem was that the shower drain wasn't working properly. The mattress had also been mentioned by previous guests, but that feedback was clearly ignored. This defensive response deserves one star. They'd be better off taking the feedback seriously and doing something about it.

Carefully furnished, this beautiful apartment sits inside Cagliari's ancient city walls, right in the center.

A wonderful place for an unforgettable stay, in the Castello area at the heart of Cagliari. The one downside is that parking is outside the city walls.

Maria Laura was incredibly kind and gave us all the information we needed, from places to eat to things to see in the city. The property was wonderful, in a great location, and had everything. Our vacation at Castello House was perfect.
