Stampace Apartments

The apartment itself is beautiful, and Federico was kind and helpful. When the television wouldn’t access popular streaming sites or satellite channels as advertised, he came as quickly as he could to fix it. I was staying just one night with my partner to relax, and since we live in the city, having the TV work mattered to me. But the other owner was extremely rude and not helpful at all. The first time I called the listed numbers, the lady answered sounding annoyed and gave a curt reply. When the issue continued, I called several times without an answer, and she blocked my number. I tried WhatsApp too, but she just told me to contact her colleague and blocked me there as well. There was a small hole in the sheet and a few cracks when we arrived, though otherwise the apartment was very nice. The hot tub definitely adds something. I hope I’d be treated with much more courtesy if I ever came back. Right now I’m having a tough time considering I’m still stuck. It’s the only place I’ve stayed where I’ve had similar problems with an owner. I barely left the tourist tax, and I certainly wouldn’t have paid a single euro more.

We felt misled by the Booking.com photos, which didn’t match the apartment, and can’t recommend the place. The listing’s fully equipped description didn’t fit either: there was just one wine glass, the opener was broken, and there was little cutlery or other basic equipment. The single window looked onto an unattractive courtyard, and the lighting was harsh, cold, and almost surgical. The apartment smelled unpleasant, and despite the cleaner having just been there, dust was all over surfaces, especially the closet shelves. The bathtub leaked and left a puddle, where small insects later appeared. Parking information was also unclear. We weren’t told street parking was prohibited after 6:00 PM, and our rental car was towed. These problems made the stay very unpleasant and fell far short of what we expected.

For the price, especially off-season, this apartment was a very good deal. It was clean and nicely furnished for couples, with some kitchen utensils available if you want to cook. The location is excellent, near both the train station and city center, though it isn’t right on the noisy streets, you may still hear some noise at night. We had a wonderful stay at Stampace Apartment.

The walls were so thin we could hear everything happening in the other rooms. There were big cracks in the wall, holes in the sheets, and a hair beside the bed that wasn’t mine. The manager wasn’t helpful. For that insane price, breakfast should at least be included. Definitely not an experience I’d repeat.
