Hotel Nibaru

The rooms at Hotel Nibaru feel dated and could use a renovation to bring them up to the standard of the setting. The potential is there for this to be one of the area's best boutique stays. What makes it worth considering now is the peaceful feel, the excellent spot near the best parts of the Costa Smeralda, and a quiet, well-kept pool area that's perfect in the Sardinian sun. We had a very pleasant stay in one of Sardinia's most beautiful settings.

Apartment no 3 was spacious, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed, including a big fridge. We had access to an almost private garden. The rooms were cleaned very well every day, unusually clean for Italy. The pool was good, but there isn't much shade during the day, even with umbrellas provided. Parking was ample, and there were four electric car chargers at 16A each. The location at Nibaru hotel was excellent, with top beaches under fifteen minutes away. Staff were polite and really helpful. I wasn't impressed by breakfast: since I don't eat sweet things, I was limited to scrambled eggs, sardinian sausage, oats, and fruit for all five days. Afterward I discovered breakfast at my next stay could be even poorer. Nearby, there's a restaurant/pizzeria with decent prices and good quality, plus fancier, more expensive places in the area.

The pool area was pleasant and calm, with no music, just the pool. But the rooms aren't well insulated, so loud or inconsiderate people above you can make the stay miserable. Service depended on who you dealt with: some were kind and helpful, like frederiko, while others made us feel unwelcome. When I checked in, nobody gave me any information, they just showed me the room. I wouldn't recommend this place.

We had a really enjoyable stay in this beautiful part of Sardinia and would gladly recommend Hotel Nibaru. The hotel is lovely, with excellent, friendly service. Breakfast was very good, and the pool was perfect. It was also well located for both the beach and restaurants.
