We didn’t feel welcome, even though the rooms seemed otherwise vacant and we were easy money. The owner, or perhaps the manager, seemed surprisingly short-tempered and rude. I’m not sure they understand the idea of hospitality. The rooms themselves were quite OK, and the really cold water was refreshing in summer. The room prices weren’t very transparent, especially as I booked only a few hours before arriving. If you have more time to look around, I’d definitely suggest staying somewhere else. I didn’t take room photos because we weren’t there long and I apparently forgot. The pictures are of the nearby lake and the breakfast buffet, which was small but OK, with some homemade cakes and an orange juice press.

The lake is a lovely spot between the hills, just a five-minute stroll away. It’s nice for a swim during the day, and the area gets really quiet in the evening, making for a peaceful walk. We arrived in September, and when I asked, the air-conditioning was switched on for us. We also got advice about local attractions. We hadn’t planned or booked anything, just spotted the lake on a map, and the staff at a nearby restaurant suggested Energy Hotel. One phone call and a pleasant chat with Gianluigi, a proper gentleman, and we were sorted. The double room was lovely, reasonably priced, and had a nice view from the second floor. Breakfast had lots of choice, and Gianluigi looked after guests like close family. There’s also a lovely terrace with a jacuzzi, and a sauna was available. Can’t say a bad word. Places like this make spontaneous plans easy and fun.

The breakfast was the highlight, with plenty to choose from and veggie options. The staff were really helpful too. It was a delightful stay at a lovely, quiet hotel, and the room was beautiful, clean, and cozy.

The rooms are spacious, and there’s a small wellness area with a Finnish Sauna. From the second-floor balconies, the view is really nice. It’s about five minutes to the lake and 15 minutes to restaurants.
