The grounds are outstanding, with lots of different mature trees, some several hundred years old. We loved how super quiet the area is while still being close to so much. The apartments are beautiful and simple. The kitchen is small, with no regular oven, though there is a small convection oven. There’s only tableware for utensils, so it’s a bit tough to cook properly. There are indoor and outdoor pools, plus a small gym.

It’s a unique place to stay, with beautiful accommodation and nicely decorated rooms. The staff are super friendly, and the prices are good. The village isn’t bustling, so it’s somewhere to relax after exploring the area.

Villa Solatia is somewhere I’d happily return to whenever I visit Vicenza. The grounds are relaxing and the staff are fabulous. It’s a magical place, though not for anyone expecting to be waited on hand and foot. Come to relax and enjoy Italy and the Palladian life.
