The village itself was a lovely surprise. Calimera's historic center and main square are only about 30 steps away, and there are local shops for ingredients if you want to cook in the fully equipped kitchen. Most of the famous, beautiful beaches are within a 20-minute drive, and the locals are so warm and welcoming that you'll want to return. The house is spacious, beautiful, cool inside, and furnished with everything needed for an easy stay. The hosts are always available and really friendly, and the shared pool is a great extra. We arrived with high expectations and the place exceeded every one. See you soon!

We felt right at home here. The garden and pool were lovely, and my daughter especially fell for the turtles. On arrival we found delicious typical Lecce "Pasticciotto" sweets. It's a great base for visiting Lecce and the surrounding area, and the property is beautiful too. We'll be back! Best wishes from Amedeo's family.
