The property itself is stunning, but our stay was disappointing in several ways. At €150 a night, our room felt neglected, with a sofa whose faux leather was peeling and damaged. The bathroom had only a fixed showerhead, which isn’t convenient if you don’t want to get your hair wet. Dinner was €30 per person, but the servings were small, the food lacked flavor, and service was slow. We waited 15 minutes for wine. Breakfast was plentiful, though not very good quality, with watery fruit and bland cakes. We’d booked two nights months ahead during our four-week trip through Sicily, hoping to spend two days relaxing by the pool. The weather was bad on our second day, which no one could help, so we politely asked to visit a nearby town that day and use the pool on our checkout day instead. The owner firmly said no because the facilities were only for guests, which seemed to mean we weren’t guests anymore on the day we checked out. The previous day we’d been the only people at the pool, while large tour groups regularly arrived in the afternoon and left early the next morning. It didn’t seem like a practical issue, just unwillingness to accommodate us. The owner’s manner and expressions felt dismissive and condescending. She suggested we book another night, though we already had a booking elsewhere, asked whether our next hotel had facilities in a way that felt arrogant, offered the pool while heavy rain and thunderstorms were going on, and said we could stay for lunch. That felt like spending more money there was fine, but a small gesture of goodwill wasn’t. When I said that in the Netherlands we’re used to a little flexibility to make guests comfortable, she replied, “I’m from Belgium, so I know all about that,” though her actions didn’t reflect it. It would have cost nothing to let us use the already-filled pool, and we were happy to bring our own towels. We stayed calm and polite, complimented the property, and are quiet, respectful guests who clean up after ourselves and leave places tidy. Of course, staff weren’t obligated to agree, and nobody controls the weather, but the complete lack of empathy was disheartening. We didn’t pay €350 just for a bed and hot shower. We were so taken with the property that we’d seriously considered it for our wedding next year. The day before, we thought we’d found the perfect place and had already started planning. After this experience, we can’t consider it anymore. Such a shame.

The second day of our two-night stay, which was supposed to be the highlight of our holiday, turned rainy. We’d chosen this place specifically to relax by the pool for two days, so we kindly asked if we could come back the next day and use it then. The rate was quite high, but rain was outside anyone’s control. The response was dismissive, with no empathy. The way we were treated felt arrogant, unhelpful, and even condescending, and it ruined the experience. We’d considered this beautiful property as a wedding venue for next year and somewhere we might recommend. Now we wouldn’t return, solely because of the lack of basic empathy and customer care. We felt unheard, looked at with irritation, and hurried away as if our request were unreasonable. All we got in the end was a curt “I understand,” which came across as “I don’t care” or “now please leave.”

It’s such a picturesque place, with gorgeous plants and ceramics. I loved the views, and the swimming pool and Jacuzzi are nice too. We’ll be attending friends’ wedding here, and I’m sure it’ll be gorgeous. It’s lovely for romantic events. Our room was good, though the bathrooms could use an update.

We thought we were looking for a wedding venue in Italy. What we found was a place that feels like home and will always have our hearts. We didn’t start out with a long list of requirements. We just pictured sun on our skin, warm stone, a pool sparkling in the light, and a view that takes your breath away. Somewhere that feels like summer, freedom, and love. We never thought we’d actually find it. Then we drove up the hill, and I started crying before I’d even got out of the car. That first glimpse looked exactly like what we’d imagined. It wasn’t only beautiful, it felt as if the place had been waiting for us. Romantic and cozy, but also modern and elegant. Intimate, with a confident sense of what it does. Within a day, we knew this was where we’d have our wedding. We met Vanessa, Philipe and Faten and shared our vision. They understood right away. There were no complicated negotiations or pressure, just a handshake, a smile, and the feeling that we were safe and they’d take care of us. The venue had everything we hadn’t dared to hope for: rooms where guests could stay and feel like they were on holiday together; space to move from the ceremony to dinner, dancing, and a pool party outdoors; a place where the celebration didn’t have to stop because someone might complain; and modern style with a warm heart. It didn’t feel like one of those “copy-paste tourist weddings.” It felt real, personal, and alive. After that, planning felt like doing it with friends. They answered every message with care, took every worry seriously, and brought our ideas to life, often even better than we’d pictured. The architecture, lemon fragrance, and hillside view all helped make it magical, but the people were what mattered most. The staff welcomed us warmly, anticipated what we needed, decorated as if they cared deeply about us, and even left little gifts in the rooms. Homemade breakfast cakes and all those thoughtful touches made us feel we belonged there. Faten became the person looking after our day. Calling her a wedding planner doesn’t quite cover it. She was calm, thoughtful, and loving in every detail. We could technically arrange our own vendors, but with Faten there we got to be a bride and groom instead of project managers. She tied ribbons, kept the schedule on track, blew up pool floats, and poured bubble liquid into little bottles so we could think about nothing but love. She also made sure we ate, like a big sister and a mum together. There wasn’t a stressful moment or a thing that went wrong. She quietly and gracefully held it all together, like an invisible angel. When the day came, it was even more than we expected: more laughter, more tears, and more sparkle in our guests’ eyes. Watching our favorite people party in the pool, dance under the stars, and cry during the ceremony in that setting felt like pressing pause on life. We wished the night would never end. Guests said it felt like a movie and called it the most beautiful wedding they’d ever seen. For us, it was simply the best day of our lives so far. If you dream of a wedding that feels magical, where beauty and soul come together, come here and let this place wrap itself around your love story. It did that for us.

We celebrated our wedding here in July, and everything was perfect. The place is absolutely stunning, the food is delicious, and the staff are friendly. It’s a magical place, highly recommended for events or a relaxing stay.
