The noise was incredible; you could hear everything happening even three rooms away. At breakfast, the juice tasted like badly flavoured water, the bread was stale, hard, and dry, and the cake wasn't up to standard. I was on a school trip to Italy where we stayed in six hotels, and this was probably the worst. When we arrived, there was a fridge in our room with an open pack of cheese inside. It looked like it had been there for months, with liquid dripping from the plastic container. We told our teacher, who raised it with a staff member. They took the open cheese back to the kitchen to use later. The next morning, cheese strips were served on a buffet tray. I couldn't tell if it was the same cheese, and didn't want to know. Maybe it's fine for a cheap night with some booze, but not for a school trip across mesmerizing Italy.

It’s conveniently placed for the beach and walks along the Viareggio seafront. Beyond that, it wasn’t especially nice or welcoming. I wouldn’t strongly recommend it if there are better options.
