The owner was really nice and did everything he could to make things work for us, so I feel bad giving two stars. We were put in the side building, which didn't seem set up for guests. It wasn't very clean, and personal belongings were scattered around, making it feel more like a homestay than a B&B. The other rooms may be better, but I can't comment on those.

The rooms are plain but roomy, each with its own bathroom, and breakfast is served in a lovely room. Exposed beams run through the whole place. The owners made us feel welcome, and I really felt at home. The villa itself is splendid, carefully renovated and looked after, with lovely attention to detail. It sits in a rural part of Friuli I hadn't come across before.

We stayed in a roomy bedroom with "Arte Povera"-style furniture, and the bathroom was spacious too, with complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was generous and good quality, with cereals, yogurt, fruit, bread, and pastries. You can ask for a savory option as well. The hosts at B&B Villa Francesca are lovely, welcoming, and ready to help. With its calm setting, warm hospitality, and convenient location for getting around Friuli Venezia Giulia, B&B Villa Francesca makes a great base for a holiday. I'd gladly come back when I'm in the region again.

A comfortable, cared-for little refuge that feels like home. The garden's colors shift through the seasons and bring a different feeling each time. Everything feels relaxed, with courtesy and privacy.
