Locanda I Tre Merli A Camogli

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were really friendly. I adore this beautiful hotel overlooking the harbor. Marco was always available for questions and was very helpful with both parking and luggage.

Breakfast is served right over the water at a corner of the pier, where you can sit quietly with a coffee and watch Camogli harbour. The room was comfortable and right on the harbour, and the photos don’t quite show how much better it is in person. We stayed overnight at the Locanda, and I doubt there’s a better hotel for really experiencing Camogli. The host replied promptly to all our questions, and check-in was easy. We drove and found the ZTL simple to navigate for unloading luggage. The private parking space was impossible to get our car into, but there’s a large lot at Gulliver directly across the way. We left the car there for 2 days. It was busy at the end of July, though spaces opened up regularly because it also serves the grocery store.

We were turned away quite bluntly when we sat down at the cafe attached to the hotel and tried to order. We stayed in the shade anyway, but about five minutes later the waitress came out and closed the awning, leaving us in the sun. When we asked why we couldn’t order a drink, even though the waiters were clearly there working, she just said, “because it is closed.” They had clearly served two older ladies before us. Definitely not recommended.

I found this café while looking for a toilet, and it turned out to be a great little spot. It’s only a few steps from the public bathroom, so it could be handy if there’s a long queue. If you don’t buy anything, using the café restroom costs €1. The cappuccino was delicious and only €1.50, so I’d go for that instead. Friendly service, and the place felt clean and pleasant. Nice for a quick coffee break with clean facilities.
