The setting is lovely, surrounded by greenery and quiet, with a pool. Getting there means taking about 200 metres of rough, pothole-filled road, which was a real hassle with a car towing a trailer carrying two motorcycles. After a 12-hour ride, we came back to find the room exactly as we'd left it, with unmade beds and the previous day's towels. The owner said he had hosted lots of riders, but they couldn't arrange breakfast for guests who needed to eat at 7. I can't recommend this to riders, or to anyone paying 90 euros a night who expects at least a made bed and clean towels.

I'm replying to Ms. Penza because she called Country's service “scandalous.” I think her account is unrealistic, for a few reasons. Her boyfriend made the booking. The portal only had a double room left, with two single beds, since the rooms with double beds were already booked. He booked it anyway. When they arrived, Ms. Penza was clearly annoyed that it wasn't a double bed and asked to push the beds together. That was allowed, though it was a small exception to the rules. The booking page says rooms aren't made up daily and bathroom linens are changed at least every three days. She could have seen that before booking. It seems she expected a five-star hotel from a B&B. She also asked for breakfast at 6:30 a.m., not 7:00 as she wrote. We said they could take food from the buffet if they wanted. I've never known a B&B to serve breakfast at 6:30. The reply was that it was fine, they would eat at the racetrack. The next morning, she and her boyfriend had breakfast at the usual time, between 7:30 and 10:00. And when you book somewhere in the countryside, unpaved roads can be part of the deal. The managers have been trying to get this road fixed for a while and have contacted the municipality, which owns it, to look for a solution.

Lots of space and a peaceful feel. In my experience, though, there was no hot water and the bedrooms weren't heated. Some important things need maintenance and renovation.
