I loved the little touches, like the warm blanket, library, snacks, and natural soap, and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. The place itself is amazing for relaxing. The woman at the bar was really kind, though the rest of the service crew didn’t give us the same impression. We knew before booking that hotel guests don’t get free access to the hot pool, even when booking directly, but it still felt like management was trying to make money in the wrong places. Kids pay the same pool entry price as adults, for example. Leaving the wellness access aside, it’s a great place to unwind. Next time, we might come for the day spa and stay somewhere else.

The water was really nice, and it was a nice experience overall. The bathrobe and towel cost was absurd, though: €40 for two people, while bathing costs €50. The robe and flip-flops were low quality, and there was no shampoo. That part was a disappointment.

The hotel has a lovely, relaxing feel, the pools are great, and breakfast is wholesome. Still, the value didn’t feel great. We paid €700 for four nights, and access to none of the pools or spa was included. For a 3 star place, it seemed a bit much.

I’ve been coming here for 25 years, and it’s a gorgeous, magical place. The food used to be perfect too. In recent years, the restaurant has felt snobbier, and smoking guests on the patio while others are eating is unpleasant. I miss the happy, customer friendly employees. It’s become even more expensive without getting better. Before the entrance area makeover and whatever else changed, the restaurant felt elegant and true to tradition, not snobby, and it was a place to drink the finest wines. I’ll update this if I see a change.
