The view is amazing, and there are real yaks here too. It’s a lovely lunch stop, with friendly staff and good food. The pizza was especially nice, even though mine was a bit burnt. There are also spots outside with fires where you can warm up.

The setting is on the far southwest edge of the Sella Ronda map, near the border between Val Gardena and Val Di Fassa. Inside, it has a warm, traditional feel, with a broad menu and a particularly large wine list. My wood-fired pizza was excellent. Service felt a bit impersonal, but I’d still recommend it for the location and food.

The views and location are beautiful, but the rest was a disgrace. Staff kept shouting “ATENTIONE” at people, whether they were going to the toilet or sitting at a table, telling them to get out of the way. They made you feel like nobody. The food was mediocre at best and expensive. If you come alone, they seat you with other people to maximize profit. The menus are in three languages, but dish descriptions don’t match across them. I ordered a pizza that arrived topped with slimy, disgusting eggs. When I asked why, the waitress apologized and said eggs were mentioned in Italian and German, but not in English.

The recently updated place looks beautiful, and the staff were friendly, though the dining room was quite loud. Getting there from the parking lot was an interesting part of the evening: transfers were scheduled in advance, and since all the guests arrived at once, we waited about 15 minutes. The food was average at best and overpriced. The bread was delicious, but the meat was severely undercooked and the pasta dry.
