I still get a thrill whenever I see this place again, even though it has all changed now. I first knew it on holidays with my grandparents, staying in the apartments over several years. Back then the owner was Mr. Giuseppe Mibelli, a truly lovely gentleman, and he had a beautiful black dog called Alì.

The surroundings are beautiful, but the price felt about 30% above what the apartment was worth. Two of the three available apartments in the property were vacant even in high season. While we were there, we asked to extend for another week and were quoted more for a smaller apartment that was empty. We were on holiday at the end of July and start of August 2023. The house is very nice, but it's missing basics a family needs, especially a washing machine. Having at least two bicycles available would also help, along with better care of the garden beside the apartments. Marina di Campo's center is about a 20-minute walk, which is unworkable with small children. With teenagers, renting bikes is the only alternative to driving, and the town has a lot to offer. Elba Island is beautiful, but prices like these don't encourage tourism.

The quiet here is lovely, and waking up to birds singing is something special. A cool breeze through the house brings in fresh air. Such a peaceful place to stay.
