Top notch.

Our apartment had a lovely terrace, great for summer lunches and dinners, a decent-sized bathroom, and a small, basic but convenient kitchenette. It was quite clean and didn’t disappoint. Mr. Raffaele was always available and ready to help with anything. The one drawback was that the bedroom adjoined another apartment’s terrace, which made it quite noisy. Everything else was perfect, and we’re thinking of coming back next year :-) It’s a recently renovated Art Nouveau villa in an excellent central spot, close to all amenities and Marina di Campo’s most beautiful beaches. Although it’s in the restricted traffic zone, Mr. Raffaele provides access for loading and unloading.

The apartment itself was very nice, but the owner treated us disrespectfully. While my friends and I were out on the boat during our August 2020 stay, he said he’d taken €100 from our credit card because he’d found damage to a tile. He hadn’t mentioned it when inspecting the apartment with us present. When we asked him to send a photo, he never replied or returned the disputed money, even though anyone could have caused the damage in the hour after the inspection. I wouldn’t recommend this for groups of young people.

On our first trip to Elba, we stayed in a truly lovely, fully equipped Ligurian apartment with a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. The owner was extremely helpful and always ready with great beach suggestions. The location was excellent, close to the beach and everything in the town center. They arranged restricted traffic zone access for arrival and departure days. We’d recommend it 100%.

The attic studio is huge, and you can leave the two enormous skylights open at night. I’d say you really must, though being right in the town center means it can get a bit noisy at night, depending on what you’re comfortable with. I had trouble when the air conditioning broke. Without it, you risk cooking like chickens in a roasting oven. There’s an excellent restaurant nearby that does takeout, and the beach and center are close too. The downside to being so central is having to park elsewhere, which can mean a lot of cursing in busy periods. The building has been recently renovated, and both apartments we saw were very well maintained.
