Little House

My partner and I left feeling very disappointed, even though we tried to be understanding. I really don't enjoy posting negative reviews, but what happened here made us feel we had to share it. I can't recommend this place. We arrived on December 31, an hour before check-in, and I called the number listed on Google instead of the other number in a text asking me to notify them before arriving. We waited about five minutes at the gate before a visibly flustered woman came out and showed us a room. It was lovely, no question, but it wasn't the room we'd booked: the spa and hot tub shown in the photos and included with our booking weren't there. The host said the spa room was broken. I'd booked the room with in-room spa at the end of August for New Year's Eve. Around December 20, I asked whether dinner could be served in the room. They said we could eat in the shared breakfast area. If I'd been told about the host's decision to move us before the booking credit became mandatory, I would've cancelled. On January 1, we found out the room we had booked, with a small balcony and spa, had been rented to someone else. We chose not to complain about that at the time. The next day, my partner got stuck in the bathroom without his phone when the folding door lock jammed. After calling for help for 30 minutes with no luck, he had to break the door to get out. We reported what happened right away, and the host confirmed the lock was stuck and kept the bathroom from opening. At checkout, we were unexpectedly told we owed €1,000 for the damage, which we refused to pay. The host had put guests in rooms different from the ones they booked and then demanded an outrageous amount for a broken door. We argued until I called my lawyer.

We've stayed here twice now, and since work takes us to Piazzola sul Brenta every month, the location is really handy. The owner, Mary, is lovely, kind, and always ready to help. The rooms are new, roomy, welcoming, and very clean, and the bathroom is nearly as large as the room itself. In the little shared room, there's a nice coffee machine with coffee, herbal teas, and other drinks available whenever you like. There's plenty of parking too, and it's a quiet, safe spot. Definitely worth a visit.

The phone booking was great. The person I spoke with was kind and friendly, and everything seemed fine. But when I arrived, I found that the private bathroom was down a corridor from the room. Nobody had mentioned that setup when making the offer. The place itself is fine, but saying it was a mix-up doesn't explain everything, especially when I was told I'd already been warned. If I had agreed to those conditions, why would I have complained afterward? It's understandable, but please be careful about this next time.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and nice to look at, with stylish furnishings and great technology. I especially liked the card that opens everything. The bathroom has a whirlpool tub and sauna, and the coffee machine grinds the beans fresh whenever you order a coffee. It's a very modern place, ahead of a lot of others in this price range. The staff at the priority desk were super friendly, too. Nearby, there are lovely spots to get away from city chaos and places serving excellent regional food. I'd happily come back if I get the chance. Thanks for everything, I definitely recommend it.
