The location was ideal, on the next block from the theater and across from an excellent market and a restaurant with the same name. This artsy shared flat was fantastic, with spacious private suites and roomy, quiet common areas. Staff were extremely helpful: they contacted me on WhatsApp and arranged an earlier check-in. Breakfast each morning was perfect, with plenty to choose from, including eggs for this American. The owner even cooked them at times. Art is everywhere, and some of it is for sale.

This “fancy” hostel shouldn’t be called a hotel. There are two flights of stairs to reach the main entrance. At check-in we were given keys for the room and the entrance. The room had old sheets and black (!) towels. There’s no parking nearby, and the private lot they recommended was a 10-minute walk away.

The bed wasn’t a king, the air conditioning didn’t work, and parking was a mile away. Working amenities matter more than the artwork. My bed was soaking wet on the first night, and I cut the trip short because I couldn’t face another night like that.

The room was a little darker than I expected, but still nice. The bed was roomy and comfortable, and the ceilings had lovely paintings.

A stunning place that was very welcoming to dogs, and the staff were a great help.
