Residenza Savoia

The owner was very helpful, and the daily cleaning was excellent. I spent 4 days here and had a really good stay. It was very peaceful, with the train station and bus stops close by, so getting around the city was easy.

For two nights we paid €114, or €57 a night, and breakfast came with coffee pods, Nescafé for cappuccino, yogurt, jam, toast, fruit juice, and more. The apartment itself is recently renovated and completely new, though the entrance and hallway look quite lived in. I imagine shared condominium spaces are hard to get everyone to agree on renovating. It's near the train station and an easy walk to the city center. The big problem was the lack of air conditioning, despite what Booking.com incorrectly said. The last few days were a bit of a hassle because of that. The owner apologized, though it's not clear whether he or Booking.com made the mistake, and brought us a fan to help. I appreciated the gesture, but air conditioning would have been better.

The room was spotless and had all the comforts for a medium or longer stay. Staff were friendly and ready to help with whatever was needed. You're right in the city center, just a minute from the train station, so the location is excellent.

I was lucky enough to try both the B&B and Residenza Savoia, and found each one excellent. They're both in the heart of Campobasso, in elegant settings, and offer great value for money. The owner was so kind and attentive to what guests needed. I'd recommend either place for a stay in Campobasso.
