The apartments were uncomfortable and dirty, and several things were broken: the washing machine, oven, TV, and air conditioning. The chair I sat on collapsed and sent me to the floor. There’s no real beach, and the rocky water was full of sea urchins that stuck their spines into our skin whenever we went in. The children’s play area was used as a dog toilet, and we also saw cats and mice inside the residence. Hospitality, courtesy, and kindness were nowhere to be found. I wouldn’t recommend this place, and I’d never go back.

This residence makes a handy base for visiting the Palermo area, with Cefalù about a 10-minute drive away, plus Monreale and Palermo within easy reach. There’s plenty on site: indoor parking, a bar, a pool, a lit small soccer field in the evenings, beach volleyball, bocce, a playground, and a private beach. The shore is rocky, so water shoes are a good idea. Entertainment runs from June to August. One thing to keep in mind is that the apartments belong to different owners and are rented separately, so upkeep and hospitality can vary. Check the rental company carefully and ask for apartment photos beforehand, since the places shown in reviews may not represent the usual standard.

The apartment was clean, neat, and had plenty of comforts, and the place works well for a few days with family or friends. The pool was the drawback for me. There were so many restrictions and unnecessary rules that it was hard to properly relax and enjoy it.

We were meant to stay three days, but left after half a day. I was glad to lose the money rather than stay through that nightmare. The pool was closed without warning, nobody greeted us, and we waited from 10 to 2.30 pm for the woman responsible for the house. The sea is very rocky and not suitable for children. The house was neglected too: a table leg was broken, and the bedroom window, which had already been patched with double-sided tape, broke when I opened it. The air conditioning ran out, and turning on the oven while it was running cut the power. We had one sun lounger and an umbrella for four adults and two children. The only kind people were a caretaker, I’m not sure what his role was, and the gardener. Nobody else seemed to look after the guests, the homes, or the comfort the place needs. Very disappointing, and I’ll never return.
