Le Vele

The beach is less than a ten-minute walk away, though keep in mind it’s pebbles and stones. The staff are excellent, and Lia and Carmelo, the owners, were especially kind and helpful. Our room was welcoming, clean, and always tidy, with thoughtful furnishings. I highly recommend it.

I can’t recommend this place. The hygiene was poor, things were disorganized, and breakfast was low quality. During our three-day stay, leftovers from the previous day were still there each morning. The showers were dirty, and there was no hot water. There were empty areas and no spaces, with a unique mortality rate.

There wasn’t a bathroom in the room. You had to go outside and across the street to use one, where several shower gels had been left behind. The little balcony was shared with the other room and had just a few old chairs. The outside window frames had holes, there was no closet, just about a dozen hangers, and the TV was tiny. I’ll leave it at that, I ran away.

The hospitality from the owners was wonderful. We spent three lovely days in a unique, elegant place surrounded by lush greenery and quiet. Donna Rosalia was splendid and elegant, and her husband, Mr. Formica, was a true gentleman.
