Residence le Coccinelle

We spent a week at this nice villa with my family, but the owner's unprofessional and rude behavior made the stay awful. The TV and router weren’t working, so we called him to take a look. He arrived counting the people in the villa without even saying hello. When he found out we had invited a local friend for dinner, he shouted that this wasn’t allowed and that he had to report it to the local police. We explained the person was only staying for dinner, a couple of hours, but he wouldn’t listen. He kept shouting at us and at our guest. It was embarrassing and a little frightening. My family felt so ashamed that we could hardly apologize enough to our guest on his behalf. That kind of person shouldn’t work in hospitality, and I hope nobody else has to go through this. The villa itself was nice and close to a beach, but the nearby beach is one of the worst in Sicily, so I ended up spending time only by the pool. The villa and surrounding area were also infested with mosquitoes and really need disinfestation. If you stay here, bring mosquito spray. I’d absolutely avoid this kind of experience and look elsewhere.
