La Magnolia sul Lago

A few days before arriving, I called the owner out of the blue to ask for more information about the apartment I'd booked through Booking.com for August. When I mentioned bringing my small dog, he suggested I cancel because a woman with a dog allergy was staying at the property that week. The listing clearly said dogs were allowed. I gave up the apartment to accommodate him and let Booking.com cancel the reservation. It caused me a lot of inconvenience. Adios amigos!

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the place was welcoming, clean, and quiet. Its location makes it easy to get to the most interesting places. Highly recommended, we'll be back.

Stefano, the owner, was helpful, and we appreciated that. My family and I stayed one night in this comfortable, spotless place, which made a great base to return to. It’s only a half-hour drive from Bocca della Selva, where we took the kids to play in the snow. The area is lovely to visit in any season, with food and wine from the Benevento area to try.

I’ve stayed in plenty of places, but never one like this. The furniture was extremely old, the yellow mattress was disgusting, and the box springs might as well have been nonexistent. It felt like sleeping on the floor. Dust was so thick it was hard to breathe, and bedbugs were flying around day and night. My family and I had booked two nights, but after arriving we felt this place shouldn’t exist. With small children, we lasted one night before running away. We lost money and, even worse, had to scramble to find somewhere else to sleep. It was a nightmare.
