I was here in June. The room was small, but a real gem, and the owners were helpful. For breakfast, you could go either to their namesake restaurant or to the Shangri-La bar.

At €90 a night for two, plus a tourist tax of €1.50 per day, I found the price too high for what we got. Breakfast was available after 9:00 at their restaurant, about 50 meters from the B&B; if you wanted to eat earlier, you got a token per person to use at the café next door. It meant one coffee, either a Marrocchino or a latte macchiato, and a croissant. The room was tiny, even for two. The air conditioning was mounted high above the bed, which was uncomfortable for whoever slept there. There was a small fridge with a freezer compartment and a TV that often lost its signal. The bathroom was spacious, but the shower mixer couldn’t be adjusted, so the water was either too hot or too cold. I wouldn’t call it a B&B, since it doesn’t meet the requirements for that kind of accommodation.

The rooms looked nice, but cleanliness was a serious problem. There was hair on the floor, in the shower, and everywhere else. The shutter was broken, and the sheets and pillowcases were stained from previous guests and clearly hadn’t been changed for us. It didn’t seem like the room had been cleaned. They moved us after we reported it, but the new room still had sand and hair all over the floor. I strongly advise against staying here. The owner needs to clean more thoroughly, and we certainly won’t recommend the property to anyone.

The room did get cleaned daily, and towels were changed on request at no extra charge. That was the one positive part of a stay I don’t plan to repeat any time soon. In our few days there, the managers showed little professionalism or concern for our needs. As far as I understand, the B&B is run by the same owners as a nearby restaurant. Before we arrived, the person who said she owned it confirmed in a private chat that the apartment was new and had a stovetop. We reached the unmarked property shortly after 9:00 AM, tied to the bus schedule, only to find check-in wasn’t until 1:00 PM. The owner hadn’t told us the time and didn’t answer her phone at first. After several calls, she picked up and let us leave our bags in the entrance hall of the dilapidated building at 10:30. When we finally got into the new room at 1:00, it was tiny and cramped for two. The supposed stovetop was just one induction hob, which the owner then said was only for heating milk or making coffee, despite what she’d told us in chat. There weren’t any kitchen utensils, not even forks or knives, so we had to ask the restaurant next door for them. The shower water suddenly turned freezing. The owner sent a plumber, but he didn’t fix it and left our bathroom floor wet and dirty, saying someone would come clean it later. Nobody did. Check-out was just as frustrating. We’d arranged with the owner to leave our bags in the entrance hall again after vacating by 11:00 a.m. But when we talked about collecting them at 4:30 PM, shortly before our return bus, we were told the building’s main door would be locked because the owners had to “go to rest.” We had to collect our bags at 3 PM instead, then wait in the sun for over two hours before the bus arrived.

The room was new, clean, and came with a balcony, though it was too hot to use except in the evenings. It works well for a short stay. Cinzia was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Breakfast came through tokens for two nearby places. Still, the price felt too high for the room’s size and location.
