Engel

We stayed five nights and only wish we'd had longer. The owners and staff were super helpful, even making sure I got an answer to my question about where to get gas.

After skiing, you can unwind in either of the two kinds of sauna. The place has what you need for a ski trip, including a ski room with boot dryers and secure lockers. The staff and owners are warm and friendly, and the restaurant food is delicious. There's a bar by reception. Our living room wasn't especially big or small, and the rooms were cleaned every day. Recommended.

The restaurant staff were lovely, and the food was amazing. We didn't spend much time at the hotel beyond sleeping, but it left a great impression. Everything was very clean, including the room and balcony, and our sheets, towels, counters, surfaces, and bathroom were cleaned regularly. The reception team were incredibly nice and helpful with advice, and there was adequate parking. Hotel Engel is just minutes from the center of Canazei, in a quiet spot without traffic. I was very pleased with the stay and hope to return for a longer visit.

I made a booking through their own booking engine, then called and emailed several times to confirm it. They later said they had to cancel because the room type was wrong, but offered to book the correct room type on the same terms as the booking engine. I agreed, and then they changed the story and said they required a minimum of seven nights. Unreliable service.
