Lupo Bianco

The two women at the spa were always friendly and nice, and the staff really made the place for us. Marco and Paula were wonderful, as were the other people from the bar and restaurant whose names I can't remember. Since we had a dog and dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant, they set up a breakfast table for us in the bar. That meant we could take the dog along while they cleaned our room.

This was our second ski holiday at Lupo Bianco, and both stays have been exceptional. The facilities, staff and services, and the location all make it ideal for skiing straight in and out.

I've stayed here a couple of times over the years and have enjoyed it every time. It's a lovely hotel with friendly owners and staff. I especially like coming before Christmas, when it isn't as busy. The rooms are very nice, and many have been renovated with top quality materials. Half board is worth booking, as dinner is really good and the options change a lot over the week. There's a huge wine cellar too, and the head waiter gives good recommendations. Breakfast is very good, with lots of homemade and local items. The food is generally good throughout the region as well. Ski lockers are downstairs, and both ski lifts are only a five-minute walk away. You can buy ski tickets at the booth outside. The pool and sauna are nicely decorated, though they aren't very large and can get crowded in the afternoon. All in all, it's been a very nice winter stay, and we'll come back.

I stopped for coffee on the way to Passo Pordoi, but my daughter couldn't use the toilet unless she bought something. Keep the coffee, I'll hold on to my euros.
