I haven’t visited, and after reading the replies these people give here, I won’t be coming. I’m planning a holiday in the area, which is why I’ve been reading the reviews. The responses are incredible, and I can’t recommend reading any more of them. You can’t expect an injured person to order food. That’s incredibly selfish.

At night, we were stuck in the snow and spent an hour struggling to fit tire chains. We badly needed help, so we went into the hotel hoping someone might assist. The staff showed no interest, said they couldn’t help, and didn’t even ask what had happened. I was shocked by the lack of hospitality. I wouldn’t book here if you expect staff to care about guests or show basic human decency. I strongly advise against staying.

Would not recommend. After a tiring climb to the top of the pass, I stopped at the restaurant just to refill my bike bottle with tap water. They charged me for it because I wasn’t a “client.” It was really disappointing to be treated that way, especially at such a popular stop for riders.

Rifugio Passo Fedaia was one of our favourite places on the AV2 hike. We had the best room of our trip, a great shower, and really good dinner. Breakfast was plentiful with plenty of choice and good coffee. Best of all, we could dry our wet gear, something we hadn’t found elsewhere. The staff were lovely too, and I couldn’t fault the place. Thank you!

For the Alta via, I’d stay here. It’s much better value than a rifugio higher up, and we got a proper restful night in a nice room, with no timed shower. The food was lovely, and breakfast had a great buffet.
