Canelli is charming and friendly, close enough that we biked there one day for its restaurants, outdoor markets, and winery tours. I hosted a retreat for myself and nine others, and we all fell for this place. The villa’s apartments gave everyone privacy and all the little conveniences, while the family dining room and vineyard-facing patio made it easy to spend time together. There was plenty of room for all ten of us. The furnishings and every detail were superb, the heated infinity pool was beautiful, and the Pilates studio was state of the art. The villa exceeded our expectations by a long way, and the setting is the most beautiful part of Italy I’ve seen, even more stunning than Tuscany. Before the retreat week was even over, I was already looking online to book another week next year. My clients loved it too.

Our week at Casale dell´Acero Rosso flew by. We especially enjoyed having a friendly winemaker next door, with lovely Barbera, Moscato, and Spumante. The pool was clean, modern, and spacious, with stylish loungers and big umbrellas. The house is a careful renovation of an old farmhouse, mixing stone walls with practical modern design and lots of attention to detail. The kitchen and the rest of the house had everything we needed. It’s a world-class spot for biking, too.

Each day mixed exercise with optional activities, from bike rides and wine tastings to a cooking class and physical therapy sessions. Our instructors led wonderful Pilates sessions and outings around Canelli and nearby places, and everything was planned so thoughtfully that we could just enjoy it and make some special memories. I’m grateful for everything I learned, especially about wellness. The villa sits among miles of vineyard views in a spectacular part of Piemonte. This was a one-of-a-kind experience, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

We had a wonderful retreat at Casale dell'Acero Rosso with our Houston, TX Pilates studio, Jennifer Klein AATB in Houston. The owner put together a great cycling and Pilates experience, and the studio equipment was in excellent condition. The facility is first class by any standards. We also loved hanging out and spending time with the other travelers in the kitchen and great room. I had a great time and couldn’t ask for more.
