Hotel La Rondinella

The lake view from our room for four was fantastic, and the room was really spacious and clean. For the price, this three-star hotel was very good. Breakfast didn't offer much choice, but it was okay, and the lake is just a short walk away. The receptionist was kind and friendly. The main catch is that the four-person room with a view means climbing countless stairs, so be careful if you have bad knees. I enjoyed my two-night stay.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, and the room had everything we needed. Breakfast was good, the restaurant food was great, and the lake view made the meal even nicer. We also got complimentary aperol. From the spot overlooking the lake, it's about five minutes down the steps to the first little beach and maybe ten to the main beach. The cats are adorable and enjoy being petted, though they'll leave you alone if you don't approach them. Our only small issue was a medicinal smell in the room. It went away when we turned on the AC, but came back whenever we left for the day and switched everything off.

The balcony has a nice view, but the plastic furniture and symbolic dividing rail don't provide real privacy. You can see the neighboring balconies, and they can see yours. There seems to be enough parking for most guests. The location has a good view, but it's some distance from Cannero Riviera, and the road into town has no pavement. Walking there means using a narrow, fairly busy mountain road, which doesn't feel safe. The view is great and breakfast is good, though it lacks vegetables and only offers hard-boiled eggs. The furnishing in the 'superior' room was disappointing, dated with a 90s look and not very nice.

We hadn't eaten or stayed at the hotel, but when our car got into trouble outside, the director helped us right away. He was genuinely kind and helpful, a good man. If the director is honest and good, the hotel must be good too :))) Thank you!
