I’ve eaten all over this region for decades, and the local cuisine here is a particularly good example. It’s been beautifully reinterpreted in a gastronomic but unpretentious style. Prices are very reasonable, too. It doesn’t get much better than this. The hotel also seems very nice.

The hotel is beautifully situated, with easy access to the Cannobio boulevard and the main roads. We had a really nice stay, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks again!

We chose Antica Stallera over Hotel Cannobio because Hotel Cannobio’s price didn’t convince us. For a three-star hotel, Antica Stallera was a good choice, with a guaranteed parking spot and the charm and convenience you’d want in such a touristy place. The rooms are clean, the bathroom is washed down every day with "eau de javel" (bleach), and the hallways smell clean. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, with a wide range of tastes. The view isn’t amazing, but I’m here for a quiet place to sleep, not the view. I also appreciated being able to open the windows wide. At night, you can get an air current between the toilet and the room, which suits me better than having the air conditioning running all night.
