Residence Hotel Garden

We could see the lake from the balcony of room #12, though the furniture out there was a bit old, and a tablecloth covered the tabletop. Parking might be tight when the hotel is full. We stayed from September 30th to October 3rd, 2022, booking at short notice because there weren’t many alternatives apart from pricier places. One thing to know: Google Maps shows the wrong location. The apartment is on the same side of the street as the hotel of the same name, about 100 meters farther into town. The apartment is spacious and has the basics, but it was quite plain. There was no kettle, though we had enough pots to heat water. Cleanliness needs a lot of improvement: our slippers had plenty of dust on their soles, no joke. The bathroom, especially the shower, also needs work. A wooden window serves as the partition to the outside, and the frame shows the problem. Our bedroom faced the rock face behind the building, so it stayed dim all day, at least in early October. The heating and ventilation didn’t work, with neither heat nor cold coming through. We probably wouldn’t book here again unless future reviews show that some of these issues have been addressed.
