Agri-b&b Lou Col

Breakfast was generous and delicious, with nearly everything coming from the property or nearby. We found the owners discreet but always ready to help, and the studio was practical, with a fully equipped kitchenette. It’s a beautiful mountain setting at 1,600 meters, with wide views. Hard to imagine finding a better place to stay.

The room was cozy, warm, and had everything we needed, including a kitchenette. We went out for dinner, though afterward we wished we’d stayed in and enjoyed the quiet. Breakfast was fantastic, with a basket of local food and plenty to choose from. We only stayed one night, surrounded by nature and deep silence, and already want to come back. The owners made us feel at home, let us spend time with their cows, chickens, donkeys, and mare, and told us about themselves and how they built the place. They made it all by hand, and you can see the care in it. They were always available when we needed anything. Thank you, Veronica, Antonio, and the two beautiful girls.

That tiny road up is incredibly narrow, though you do get used to it. For somewhere so quiet and secluded, I suppose you have to make the effort to get there. Once there, you can really feel the spirit of the beautiful Maira Valley, and the view is spectacular. We stayed two nights in a B&B the family built with such care, almost entirely by hand. The hosts were always available, and Antonio is a charming, wonderful man. My sincere congratulations to this family for choosing to live up there despite the difficulties and welcoming people into their B&B.

The owners were incredibly kind, sharing their own eggs, jam, and homemade cakes with us. Their apartment is beautiful and practical, designed and built by them with real architectural flair, and the details are lovely. The place feels magical, and it’s a good base for hikes and mountain bike rides, especially the Meja tour. Highly recommended. Thank you, Veronica, Antonio, Maddalena, Marianna, and Dora! 🙏
