The tomato sauce tends to take over the pasta, which wasn't especially memorable. The fish soup, though, was a comforting bowl with a lovely, rich taste of the sea.

The service was nice and the location is perfectly fine, but the food felt very average. You can't switch dishes to vegetarian options, so you have to choose from what's already there. There are plenty of much better restaurants nearby, so I wouldn't recommend this one.

We made the 1400km trip back to this special restaurant after being so happy with our visit a year ago. The food is excellent, the pizza is tasty, and the service is friendly and fast. Thanks to the whole restaurant team for another unforgettable visit!

You can watch them make the pizza, and there's plenty of room to sit. I came twice at different times and had no trouble getting a table. Taverna Carolina is one of the town's oldest restaurants, with a lot of tradition and a focus on Italian dishes, especially pizza and pasta. The food is delicious, the waiters are friendly, and service is fast and good. One detail that might put some male guests off is the toilet, which is just a hole in the ground. The women's has a regular seated toilet. Still, I had a very, very good experience and would recommend it.

The gluten-free pasta was one of the best I've ever tried, so gluten-free diners will find a great option here. I came for the gluten-free dishes, and the restaurant's lovely setting and range of choices were appealing. It was a shame they couldn't offer gluten-free pizza with buffalo mozzarella, even when I asked, so I'm giving it four stars instead of five. 😊
