BB Orizzonte

Excellent!

The free beach is only a ten-minute drive away, and the place is ideal for unwinding. Our room was spacious, breakfast was excellent, and guests can use the small pool in the very large, unfenced garden. Mrs. Daniela and her son were friendly and helpful, and happy to chat if you felt like it. I stayed with my four-year-old golden retriever, and the property welcomed her too. Highly recommend.

The setting was quiet and relaxing, but several things disappointed me. Booking.com listed the B&B as 200 meters from the sea, while it’s actually 5 km away, out among the fields and canals of the Venetian lagoon. I raised this with the owner and requested a refund, but it was denied. There’s no air conditioning in the rooms. The bathrooms were clean, though they had no bidets. Breakfast was limited, the croissants were a bit dry, and when I asked for honey, I was given a jar belonging to the lady that had been sitting in the pantry for who knows how long. On Saturday night, we came back from dinner and found a man I think was the lady’s partner asleep on the couch.

There’s plenty of parking beside the property and a big green area around the house. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place, perfect if you want quiet. Daniela, the owner, and her son Paolo are incredibly kind. Wonderful.
