Hotel San Giorgio

Caorle is a beautiful town with lots of character, and we had a wonderful stay. The hotel was spotless, the staff were extremely kind, and the food was very good. We also appreciated having bikes and a private beach. My only small personal quibbles are the pillows, which were too hard, and that I would have preferred a thin quilt instead of a sheet. The food was delicious each day, especially the à la carte dinners. With salads and desserts at the buffet, dinner felt relaxed. The hotel also had indoor and outdoor playgrounds for the kids; a weekly baby disco or similar activity might be a nice addition, as the little ones would surely enjoy it. We loved the clear sea, the private clean beach, and the beachfront setting. The garden under its old pine trees was peaceful and naturally shady. Staff were caring and helpful: when we lost a room key card by accident, they kindly waived the replacement fee. Everything surpassed our expectations, and we're already looking forward to coming back.

Dinner took a long time to arrive, and the hotel's listed dinner hours weren't followed. The menu wasn't available in English, and there was no internet access at the hotel to help translate it. Compared with last year, the place has changed a lot. Guests used to seem more valued, but the staff's attitude now feels noticeably different. I'm sure I wasn't the only guest who dealt with these service delays.

We found a great place for a stay by the sea with our two dogs, and Hotel San Giorgio Caorle was even better than we expected. The green park and beach were lovely places to spend time with them. The property was clean and well cared for, including the beach, pool, and rooms. The whole staff were professional and made us comfortable throughout. Restaurant service was quick and professional, and we had the same table for the entire stay. The food was delicious, with plenty to choose from, including seafood and vegetarian dishes. Breakfast had lots of options, and the homemade waffles were our favorite. The bartenders were friendly and attentive, and brought a cheerful feel to the hotel. We'll be back.
