Residence Acapulco

The pool gets fairly busy at weekends, though there are fewer people during the week, and it's open until 10 p.m. One of the best things is the concierge service. The custodians are always around and pay close attention to cleanliness, which deserves 10 stars in all the shared areas: the entrance, stairs and pool. The greenery is maintained regularly too. The apartments come in different types, some renovated and some not. They are reasonably well insulated, so at least on the upper floors it is quiet and restful. Parking under the building can be awkward if you have a larger car, while the outdoor spaces are easy to access. There's also a dedicated covered, lit area downstairs where you can leave bikes.

We booked a place, then the landlord cancelled without giving any reason. By then, alternatives had become more expensive. If a guest cancelled, they'd have to pay for it.

The accommodation was good, and the Lampo agency staff were pleasant and helpful. But the caretakers, especially the woman, shouldn't be dealing with guests. There was one adult and two children in our group, and we were verbally abused for swimming in the pool and playing with an inflatable ball during the midday quiet period. She even gave us the middle finger. The Lampo agency had to step in before this impossible woman calmed down. She should change jobs or go somewhere else.

We stayed with friends. Angelo is a wonderful caretaker, the pool is lovely and the grounds are spotless.
