We were very happy with everything. The apartment was a good size and had a fully equipped kitchen, even a dishwasher, and parking was free and secure. The receptionist was kind and helpful. There was a sea view, with our own sunbeds and umbrella, as well as a swimming pool.

The studio was spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a large balcony. The pool was good, the beach was private, and the seaside resort was clean. I did feel unwelcome, though. The owner seemed reluctant and reserved when I asked tourist questions.

The reserved parking saved us a lot of time, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. Reception was only open in the mornings, but the staff were really friendly. The WiFi wasn’t enough for browsing on my phone, though an Ethernet cable let me stream films and manage files in the cloud. Bring one if you need a reliable connection. Our room had three beds and a sofa bed, a 20-inch TV, dishwasher, microwave, basic kitchen tools, automated curtains and lights, and air conditioning that could be set from 21° to 27°. The pool was nice, and the whirlpool cost €5 for 10 minutes. There’s a large shopping center in Portogruaro, about 40 minutes away. The parking entrance is at 45.586295, 12.855608, on the left side of the road.

We’re back for our third year, and the sea view with the deck is the best combination in the area. Florida is a touristy bedroom community, with lots of families and a mix of Italians, Scandinavians, and Germans. Caorle’s old city is nearby and interesting, with a bit of life to it, but you’ll need a bike, a fairly long walk, or a car to get there. Nice place. Bring an Ethernet cord, since it works better than the WiFi.
